The sportiest Corsa was standard equipped
with a 1.6i-engine with 72kW (98PS), (later also with 74kW/100PS),
5-gear sport gearbox, sport seats, sport steering wheel, additional
instruments, sport chassis, sport alloy wheels, side skirts, sport
exhaust and front and boot spoiler.

From the model year 1991
on, the Corsa Eco was added to the model range, so that the following
models were available:

The Corsa Eco was
equipped with the 1.2i-engine with 33kW (45PS) and by the
following measures a fuel reduction of 0.5l in Euromixes was reached:

ratio from 4,18:1 to 3.74:1

particularly low rolling friction

(optimized in the wind tunnel)

Furthermore were 2 new

with a Multec-M injection, which was available exclusive in the Corsa Joy
with Sport package

1.5TD (Turbo Diesel)
with 49kW/67PS at 4600RPM
The 1.5D engine with 37kW (50PS)
was equipped as standard with a Diesel catalyst and was available in the
Corsa City and Swing
